Through the numerous gifts and graces attained through fasting prayers, Bro. Dr. Mathews Vergis has penned numerous books on a variety of topics under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

He is the editor of the Christian Walk Bible, the first and only study Bible in any language with Fasting Prayer as its central theme. His daily devotional 'Athiraavile Thirusannidhiyil' in Malayalam, running into the eighth edition leads thousands and thousands to the presence of the Lord every dawn. It remains one of the best-selling books in its category.

He has authored several books on Christian living and biblical principles ranging from fasting to tithing. His latest book in the South Indian language of Malayalam on jealousy named 'Asooya: Pishachinte Padavaal' expounds extensively on how Satan breaks up churches, congregations, and endeavors for God on earth by using his weapon of jealousy, creating rifts and rivalry between children of God.
